Terrell Owens: Your Children Are A Reality Not a Show

Hey Guys!

As many of you are aware, 48 hours ago certain aspects of my personal life became the topic of discussion on a number of entertainment, sports and celebrity blogs, as well as radio shows across the country.

Yes, my son’s father is NFL wide receiver, Terrell Owens. And two days ago, he and his team of advisors decided it would be a “good idea” to make sure the world knew exactly how much he pays in child support for not just my child, but all four of his kids in an attempt to evoke public sympathy.

Hmmm.. I THOUGHT PATERNITY CASES WERE PRIVATE MATTERS…

What Terrell’s advisors failed to mention was that he did not show up for our mediation and missed our son’s 5th birthday – both which occurred on the same day – then he wants to cry on his TV show that “he doesn’t have a relationship with his son”?

The hardest part in all of this is keeping my son from being bombarded by the paparazzi that now reside outside of his school. He’s five…He didn’t ask for this.

I see the reports have now labeled me “BABY MOMMA #3,” yet I work and have established a career as a celebrity makeup artist and men’s groomer.

My son is my number one responsibility and I am focused on always doing what’s in his best interest. Being a parent involves a level of self-sacrifice and selflessness that some people just don’t seem to get. Ultimately, it’s about just being there for your children.

I am grateful for his mother and family reaching out and embracing my son. But let’s be clear, it has been Terrell Owens’s choice to have never seen his son Atlin.

CYSTIC FIBROSIS & MACI DREWRY

As you all know I have worked on many high-profile celebs and that tends to be the norm when it comes to my projects…

But, my last shoot this past Friday was for a very special little boy & girl. I had the pleasure of working with Davis Cleveland (from Disney & the new Spy Kids movie) and Maci Drewry a 9-year-old little girl that has touched my heart. Although I have only known Maci for a short period of time, it is quite clear that this little lady is special to say the least.

Maci has Cystic Fibrosis…Friday our cover shoot with Davis Cleveland for BSCENE Magazine was exhilarating! If you do not know what CF is, it is a defective gene, which causes the body to produce abnormally thick and sticky fluid/mucus. This mucus builds up in the breathing passages of the lungs and in the pancreas, the organ that helps to break down and absorb food. The sticky mucus results in life-threatening lung infections and serious digestion problems. It may also affect the sweat glands as well as the reproductive system. Millions of Americans carry the defective CF gene, but do not have any symptoms, and a big part of the CF Foundation is to bring awareness of the disease to the general public.
Our shoot Friday may have been just mascara a little lip balm and blush for Maci (and making sure Davis Cleveland’s hair was on point), but it was all one needs to look and feel there best. Sometime something as simple as the right tinted lip balm can change the way you look and feel. It’s not about quantity; it’s about how you enhance what you’ve have. Lip-gloss/lipstick and mascara are just minor ways to take you a look up a notch!

I hope this blog, as there will be others, brings the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Maci closer to a cure.
