Welcome to Samelia's second official "Best of Test" list!

During my extremely busy work schedule, between the photo shoots, videos, etc., this is when I like to set aside something special for all of you! I'm going to share some of my favorite makeup moments in favor of some newer "riskier" ones.

I have a tough time trying out new products right away, like many professionals in my field. Especially, because I use them on a real shoot and there is NO room for error. It can cost you big time!

I am excited that I have taken a chance on some great new product on set! But, this time it took a bit longer for the opportunity to use the new products in my kit... And you know what?! "Lancome" products have delivered consistently, as they made list before… “Smashbox”and “Duwop” products that have been nothing short of spectacular!

That said, I have been inspired to create another list for, "SAMELIA'S BEST OF TEST!"

There are a number of other products that I will be testing (and perhaps using) on the shoots I'm working. But for now, here are my suggestions for the Lancome, Smashbox, and Duwop product lines that I LOVE so much!

FALL FALL FALL!!!

I love fall. It’s one of the busiest times of the year for fashion, beauty,sports,and entertainment. Everything is new from boots, jackets, skirts, denim, accessories and my personal favorite, jewelry.

I recently had the chance to work with Los Angeles-based jewelry line POParazzi, along with the brand's designer Amber Lee. If you have not heard of this edgy jewelry line, you may have seen it worn on celebs like Kim Kardashian, one of their first major clients. What a way to start!!!

944 Editorial Shoot!

I’m looking forward to seeing my fall editorial with 944 Magazine.

This shoot was quite interesting. Yours truly got to work with some incredibly talented artists, including London hair stylist Lana Grand, Hilma Wyatt on wardrobe, and photographer Zach Coco with his amazing crew.

We created characters with actress Kay Panabaker, Heather Hemmens,Eloise Mumford, and actor Michael Stahl-David in the Fashion Designer’s Clothing.

SMOKEY EYES!!!

GET THE LOOK

Fall is approaching, and I can't wait to share my preparations with you!!!

Lately, I've been getting a lot of questions about how to create a smokey eye that is easy, classic, and glamorous. Now, some of you may have seen her Day to Night look we played with in the MAC Pro store a couple of weeks ago. But…a perfect example of great smokey eyes can be seen on Kanye West's ex Amber Rose, on the cover of Hip Hop Magazine.

Here's how to get her classic, smokey look:

1. Apply foundation to your entire eyelid, try M.A.C Face & Body, and follow up with a sweep of powder. I find the same brands work best, so I recommend M.A.C Studio Fix. Make sure to use the same shades of foundation and powder as used on face and neck.

2. Apply a dark eye shadow of your choice to the upper eyelid and the bottom lash line. For great selection of colors try M.A.C Eye Shadow.


3. Line the upper lash line with black liquid liner, try LANCOME Artliner in Noir. Start with a light touch at the in corner gradually moving up and outward. Then Apply Eyeliner Pencil to the bottom inner lash line. I love LANCOME Le Stylo.


Those three simple steps will give you the classic look, and if you want to really go the extra mile, add false eyelashes!
